- Hoan Nguyen (w/ Theres Grüter) published an article "Facilitative use of classifiers in heritage Vietnamese" in the Linguistic Approaches to Bilingualism journal. The study examined if and how home-country raised and heritage speakers of Vietnamese in the U.S. use classifiers to facilitate the processing of upcoming nouns, and whether heritage language proficiency is a modulating factor. - Hoa Le joined the Editorial Board of the newly launched Indo-Pacific Transdisciplinary Review—an open-access, internationally refereed electronic journal by the Department of Indo-Pacific Languages & Literatures at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The journal is now accepting manuscripts for its inaugural issue, scheduled for publication in February 2025. Articles related to Vietnam studies, Vietnamese language pedagogy and Vietnamese linguistics are welcome! - Registration open for Envisioning Project-Based Language Learning (PBLL) MOOC. This FREE 5-module open-enrollment self-study course is for language educators beginning to learn about Project-Based Language Learning (PBLL). Registration open till April 30, 2025; Course open: January 2, 2025 – May 31, 2025 ; A digital badge is available for candidates fulfilling course requirements.
