Approval of GUAVA Bylaws: We are pleased to announce that the GUAVA Bylaws were unanimously approved on August 20, 2025. This milestone strengthens our governance framework, clarifies roles and responsibilities, and reflects the growth of our organization. - Leadership Transition: After many years of dedicated service, President Thúy Tranviet stepped down on August 31. Read the President’s message here. Starting September 1, the new Executive Board will take office: Chung Nguyen, President; Huy Phung, Communication Manager/Newsletter Editor; and Trang Tran, Executive Secretary, and carry out the remainder of the term until the 2027 election.
- SEALC Fall 2025 Hybrid Symposium will take place on September 26–27, 2025, at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Online registration will close on September 25, 2025 (the day before the symposium), so please be sure to register in advance if you plan to attend virtually.
- CLTL Consortium Workshop 2025 at Yale University, October 24-25, 2025 on Mentoring and Educating the Next Generation of Language Faculty.
