  • GUAVA Newsletter December 2024 is now available on the website. This issue highlights several GUAVA new initiatives and key policies and features three teaching articles by GUAVA Members (An Sakach, Trang Tran, and Jennie Tran)
  • GUAVA Innovation Awards Now Open! These awards, offered by GUAVA, recognize outstanding, innovative, and transformative teaching of Vietnamese Language Education. Three prizes ranging between $150 and $300 will be awarded this year. The award winners will be featured on our website.
  • The Southeast Asian Language Council (SEALC) proudly announces the Fall 2025 Hybrid Symposium: Piloting the Proficiency-Based Instructional Materials and Assessments Tools: Insights and Lessons learned hosted by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) University of Hawai‘i at Mnoa, Honolulu, HI Dates: September 26-27, 2025; Venue: University of Hawai`i at Manoa, Honolulu, HI
  • The National Heritage Language Resource Center (NHLRC) is hosting a VIRTUAL summer workshop to help language teachers meet the challenges of teaching heritage language students, whether in mixed or heritage-specific classes.
