- GUAVA are delighted to announce that the upcoming GUAVA Member Highlights event will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (EST), featuring two projects by our members: Trang Phan & Chu Phong Lan on Vietnamese Vibes: The First Trilingual Vietnamese Textbooks in Italy and Ha Nguyen on Engaging with Vietnamese Sociolinguistics through Student-Centered Projects. This award recognizes outstanding educators who demonstrate innovation, impact, and a deep commitment to teaching Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs). - Dr. Trang Phan (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice) successfully organized the 6th International Symposium on Vietnamese Linguistics (ISVL 6) on 26-27 February 2026. ISVL 6 brought together scholars working across Vietnamese phonetics/phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics/pragmatics, historical linguistics, areal typology, and corpus research.
