GUAVA 2021 (Virtual) Workshop and Biennial Meeting*
Teaching and Learning Vietnamese in the time of the Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities
July 23-24, 2021
GUAVA invites teachers, scholars from academic institutions (in the U.S and abroad) who are teaching and conducting research on Vietnamese language education to submit abstracts to GUAVA 2021 Workshop. Paper/presentation topics focusing on issues in teaching and learning Vietnamese online during the pandemic. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

Multi modalities and approaches in teaching and learning Vietnamese online

Material and curriculum development for online teaching and learning

Zoom issues and challenges: online testing and assessment

Virtual collaboration between colleagues and students

Heritage language learners and mixed classrooms
Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, June 11, 2021 (by 11:59pm EST)
Notification of Acceptance: June 18, 2021
Please send the following two (2) items via email attachments to guavamerica@gmail.com
1) An abstract proposal with the title, a brief description of your papers/presentation in 250 words maximum
2) The presenter’s brief autobiography should include your name, institution, email address, and phone number.

NOTE: The registration for GUAVA workshop is $20, but it is free for GUAVA active members. All presenters are required to pay the registration fee or be paid members of GUAVA at the time of the workshop. To become a GUAVA member or renew membership, please contact: turnerbn@uw.edu
