The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (USSH-VNUHCM) is hosting the 8th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies in December 2026, and submissions are now open!
Conference Theme
Researching, Teaching Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language to Foreigners in the AI Era
This year’s conference takes on one of the most pressing questions in our field: how are digital transformation and artificial intelligence reshaping the research and teaching of Vietnamese studies and the Vietnamese language, both in Vietnam and around the world? The conference aims to bring together scholars and educators from institutions across the globe to exchange experiences, discuss cooperation strategies, and strengthen an international network of Vietnamese studies researchers.
Topics of Interest
The conference welcomes papers addressing, among other areas: current research and teaching issues in Vietnamese studies and the Vietnamese language in the context of AI and digital technology; Vietnam’s place in the regional and global landscape today; and Vietnamese education in the era of digital transformation.
Publication Opportunities
Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (with ISBN). Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in Scopus-indexed journals or reputable domestic academic journals recognized by Vietnam’s State Council for Professor Title.
Submission Details
- Submissions accepted in Vietnamese or English (English preferred)
- Papers must be original and unpublished
- Manuscripts should follow APA 7th edition style
- All submissions undergo blind peer review
- Conference and submission fee: free of charge

- Notification of abstract acceptance: May 3, 2026
- Full paper submission deadline: May 24, 2026
- Review results: June 7, 2026
- Final revised paper submission: July 31, 2026
