Building on the success of last year’s international conference on teaching and researching Vietnamese, Southeast Asian, and West Asian language and culture, the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University Hanoi (ULIS-VNU) is organizing the 2026 International Conference on Teaching and Researching Vietnamese & Southeast Asian Language and Culture. This event will take place as part of the broader UNiC 2026 national conference on foreign language, linguistics, and international studies research and teaching.
The conference aims to promote academic exchange and share research and teaching experiences among educators and scholars working on Vietnamese and Southeast Asian languages and cultures both in Vietnam and internationally. It also serves as a forum for researchers to present pioneering work and emerging trends in the field.

- Venue: Sunwah Hall (Ground Floor), ULIS-VNU, Hanoi

Topics of Interest
The conference welcomes papers addressing, among other areas: current realities and challenges in teaching and researching Vietnamese and Southeast Asian language and culture at university level; theories and methodologies in language and culture teaching; curriculum and materials development; the use of information technology in language education; assessment and evaluation; historical, cultural, economic, political, linguistic, and diplomatic dimensions of Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries; and current trends in Southeast Asian language and culture research in Vietnam and globally, including university-industry collaboration.
Submission Guidelines
Papers may be written and presented in Vietnamese or English. Full papers submitted for the conference proceedings should be 3,000–5,000 words (including references and appendices), formatted in Times New Roman 13pt on A4 paper, and follow APA 7th edition citation style. Each paper should include a title in both Vietnamese and English, author information, a 150–200 word abstract in both languages, and 5 keywords in both languages.
Publication
Accepted full papers, after blind peer review and editorial screening, will be published in the digital conference proceedings with an ISBN issued by Vietnam National University Hanoi Press.

Fees
- Conference attendance: Free of charge
