Position Overview
The School of International Letters and Cultures at Arizona State University is seeking a Faculty Associate to teach Vietnamese 101 and/or 201 courses virtually. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our growing language program and help students develop foundational Vietnamese language skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory (101) and/or intermediate (201) Vietnamese language courses
 - Post weekly lessons on Canvas and grade students’ work
 - Create materials and assignments to meet students’ needs
 - Meet weekly with students virtually in small groups for integrated tasks
 - Hold regular office hours to provide additional support to students
 
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese
 - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Vietnamese, Linguistics, Language Education, or related field preferred
 - Previous experience teaching Vietnamese at the college level
 - Strong understanding of language acquisition pedagogy
 - Ability to create an inclusive learning environment for diverse students
 - Confident in teaching online and using technology
