- [GUAVA] Leadership Recognition: Ms. Chung Nguyen Named 2026 Vietnamese Language Ambassador Abroad. The Group of Universities for the Advancement of Vietnamese in America (GUAVA) is delighted to share groundbreaking news that our current GUAVA President, Ms. Chung Nguyen—Director and Senior Lecturer of the Vietnamese Language Program in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University—has been officially named a 2026 Vietnamese Language Ambassador Abroad (Đại sứ Tiếng Việt ở nước ngoài năm 2026).

The Council on Southeast Asia Studies (CSEAS) at the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University invites applications for a Lector in Vietnamese with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.
