• Dr. Ngoc Diep Thi Nguyen Named CAL’s New President and CEO. The Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) was established in 1959 by a grant from the Ford Foundation to the Modern Language Association to serve as a liaison between the academic world of linguistics and the practical world of language education and language-related concerns.
  

Workshops & Conferences (CFP)

• The 11th International Conference on Task-Based Language Teaching. This biannual conference on TBLT will be held in Groningen, NL (the 3rd happiest city in Europe!), 2 to 4 April 2025.
  Call deadline: May 15, 2024
• The 2024 MWERA Call for Proposals is being extended until May 15th. The 2024 conference will be held October 16-18, 2024 at the Graduate Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• UIC Bilingualism Forum 2024

  Conference Dates: October 24th and 25th, 2024; Location: Chicago, IL, USA Abstract Submission Deadline: May 15th, 2024

• The National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages is calling for articles on policy, education, research, and programs related to less commonly taught languages. Submit your manuscript for the Fall 2024 issue by June 1st, 2024.
